Fathers Day with Franny

Our good friends Mark & Liza, and their kids Franny and August, joined us for a father's day brunch. Chloe and Franny had fun setting up their own obstacle course and playing princess. And Chloe loves baby August.

Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home

I bought a bag of ladybugs for our garden. We let them go at dusk, and in the morning they were hanging out for Chloe to play with. Alas, they only stuck around for another day. We weren't sure why they left, but later learned it was likely we did not have enough food for them. I guess it is good that there were not many aphids on our plants, but Chloe sure was sad that they left.

You scream, I scream, we all scream

for gelato. Chloe's first time at Staccato Gelato, but definitely not her last! We have started making this a weekly tradition!

We are so fortunate to have good friends who live one block away who have a darling daughter Bea whom Chloe adores . . they play together often . .

Gardening

Our neighbor helped Craig build a planter box for our backyard. So we planted tomatoes, squash and a bunch of herbs. I thought Chloe might like to have a little garden as well, so she planted a few sunflower seeds on the side of the house.
