Nana & Papa's visit

We had a great visit with John and Ghislaine.  They came while Chloe was on spring break and had fun playing games much of the time.  John taught Chloe to play Solitaire and they also brought her a Cars Monopoly Game.

Tonight, for her last night with the in-laws, they played a memory game that I had made for Chloe for Christmas in 2010.   Chloe, of course, won by a landslide!

John helped Craig build planters in the back yard so we can finally have a garden again this summer!

Leo wasn't so sure of whether or not he liked John, despite Chloe showing him how much she did:

They leave early tomorrow morning, and we'll be counting down the days until we can see them again at Thanksgiving!

A little bit of sun, a little bit of rain

They say that if you do not like the weather in Portland, wait 5 minutes. That was sure true this past week. We had some nice, warm sunny days and some cold, dark, rainy days. But, as they say in a song Chloe likes to sing, "Whatever the weather we'll weather the weather, whether we like it or not" and we did! Here's what we were up to the past week! And then we ended the weekend by going to see The Lorax in 3D. Delightful!

My 5 minutes of fame. .

I've been going to Portland Adventure Bootcamp for over a year now. . it is great fun!  This morning I got to join my trainer, Daniel Iversen, and my workout friend, Andrea Sanchez, on AM Northwest.

Peace Week

Chloe's school had peace week this week.  On Thursday she asked me if I could come for their open suite time, when they get the chance to do fun activities in other preschool classrooms.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it, but Craig was a willing and able substitute.  Chloe's 2 favorite activites were making friendship bracelets and friendship bread.   And I was the very lucky recipient of one of the friendship bracelets!

Summer in January?

Chloe went over to a friends house yesterday for a playdate. When Craig arrived to pick her up, she was in a bathing suit! It might have been 50 out...but she makes it look like summertime!

Oh Canada

Chloe told us that on Friday at school they each got to make their own flag.  "But any flag we want, not just the United States.  So I made a Paris flag".  If you didn't know, Chloe is moving to Paris for college and we get to go with her.  Yay!

So Craig pulled out his Canadian flag and snapped this cute pic.

Family Movie Night

One night each weekend we have designated as family movie night.  Tonight Chloe is very excited to watch Once Upon a Mattress.  Poor Craig . .he is going to be princessed out by the end of the year I am sure.

On movie night we get in our PJ's and then make some popcorn.  Some of us are more stylish than others, as evidenced by this cutie!  And when it is movie time, the 4 of us, yes even Mr. Stinky Smelly lazy Leo, pile on the couch to enjoy the show!
