Halloween

We went to a new pumpkin patch this year, rather than the usual Sauvie Island pumpkin patch. On the way to this new one, we passed the Roloff Farms pumpkin patch (from the Big People, Little World series on TLC). I think Craig thought I would insist on going there, but we figured it would be a zoo. Plus, this new pumpkin patch was rumored to have a train ride and a boat ride. What fun!

We went to the Lake View Farm and it was a blast. We took the train both ways, as it went through these tunnels that were decorated inside with lights and other halloween decorations.

When we got off the train, there was a wonderful surprise, pony rides. Chloe loved these and she went a few times. I even took her back the following weekend to ride more. Looks like we might have to find her horseback riding lessons when she gets older!

Chloe and Franny on the train.

For Halloween, Chloe dressed up as a bumblebee. It was such a cute costume and so easy to make with a little black electrical tape, a yellow turtleneck and and black pants. Chloe had a lot of fun trick or treating with her friend Bea. She didn't really realize what she was getting, so she didn't OD on the chocolate. Zack, however, ended up getting to her halloween candy and eating more of it. Oh well.

The birthday party

We had Chloe's 2nd birthday party at Pump It Up Junior. It is a great place to have a party because they do all the set up and clean up. Enough said. And you can bring your own cake. We invited about 10 kids so we had a large group there which made it all the more fun.

I made carrot cupcakes for the kids, and Chloe showed off her unusual style of eating cupcakes, bottoms up!

And of course we had to get the photo of Chloe with her 2 pals, Bea and Franny. Maybe once we will actually get a picture with them all smiling.

More about 2

Just a few more random pictures of Ms. Chloe as she hit her 2 year milestone. The hat she is wearing is one that Craig actually bought me for Christmas last year. It really only fits Chloe. . must too small on me!

And after playing at her friends Ella & Max's house, we discovered Chloe loved cash registers. As we don't have one, we found this piggy bank that someone had sent with flowers when she was first born. She loves putting all of the change in the house ("her money") into the piggy bank.

2 Already

Chloe's 2nd birthday came around so quickly. My good friend Laura from grad school, along with her husband Chris and her beautiful children Margaret (who is 5 months older than Chloe) and Peter came to visit for Chloe's birthday weekend. It was such a treat having them here and the girls were so cute together.

They loved playing with their babies, as well as playing with baby Peter's exersaucer!

We had also just finished Chloe's new room with the closet install. . and another place for Chloe to hang like a monkey!
